"No Kings" Protest in Pasadena June 14, 2025
It was my first time going to the protest as a photographer. In the center of Pasadena, CA, everything was peaceful and friendly—people came together to express their emotions of disagreement. The “No Kings” protest, held nationwide on June 14, 2025, was a powerful statement against authoritarianism, timed to coincide with Donald Trump’s 79th birthday and a controversial military parade in D.C. While some cities saw unrest, Pasadena reflected the movement’s heart: diverse voices united in defense of democracy, waving signs, chanting, and simply showing up. These photos capture that spirit—calm but resolute.
